Ok I have been playing with these for a bit now. The floating TH has a couple scripts in it even. One seems to be some kind of traffic counter. It seems to just say how many AV's are within 30 meters on a very specific channel. I changed it to do llOwnerSay instead of saying on the channel and it just says the number of av's in range every 20 seconds or so. No idea what it was used for.

It will be fun to see what people do with these. Since they have full perms I bet that people come up with some cool things to do with them and some cool modifications on them. If you do come up with something cool to do with them, post a note about it here. I would be interested in seeing them.

Like Gabe I didn't know I wanted one either till you started handing them out. :) Thanks again to both of you.

In fact nimrod, I am starting to think all that stuff Champie says about you just isn't true! :D

that's because this script is in the green light on top:

CODE
integer crowd = 10; //how many avatars it takes to light it up

default
{
state_entry()
{
llListen(456685, "warmbodyfinder", "", "");
}

listen(integer chan, string name, key id, string message)
{
if((integer)message > crowd)
{
llSetColor(<1,1,1>, ALL_SIDES);
}
else
{
llSetColor(<.5,.5,.5>, ALL_SIDES);
}
}
}

Ok, I now have the Waterhead TH (telehub) inside of the box, it is unlinked, but has the scripts and everything on it. Also, there is a Linden Sandbox sign as a special bonus in the box! http://slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=86425
:D

For major fun, copy and paste this, then put it in a prim next to the TH.
CODE

//Name the prim: warmbodyfinder
integer on = TRUE;

default
{
state_entry()
{
llSetTimerEvent(1.0);
}

timer()
{
if(on)
{
llShout(456685, "1000");
} else {
llShout(456685, "1");
}
on = !on;
}
}

Wow a piece of SL history. Thx ^_^ I rezzed a sky telehub and took a copy of the clock and placed it in 'The Forest' around the store for looks. I inspected the script first (im very picky about lag hehe) and it looked ok. :) I also rezzed the waterhead hub, and it Looks awsome. Though when i deleted it, i got that warning "One part is not copyable". lol as soon as i find that part i'm going to eat it. :p I always wanted a copy of the flying telehubs though. ^_^

The non-copyable part is the shirt and... notecard? in the Advert. :p

The land one I bought looks like it has some pieces missing or just rearranged.

P.S. Nevermind I missed the post where he said I could get the one with the missing piece :o

Awesome that they're available freely. But can't a Linden put them in the Library too so everyone can easily access them in world? :)

Added the Telehubs to slboutique aswell for extra accessibility.
Updated the version number to V2.1 because i added some pics off the hubs on the box. :P

You can also grab the box at my place, search Frans in places only one should popup. ;)

Happy modding! :)

Is there a telehub such as used to float above the Ahern Morris welcome area boardwalk?

Hey Sue, I'm not sure what you mean, but are you talking about the one that was used at the sandboxes? If so, that's in the pack. I'm sure if there is one you are looking for, you could IM Torley and she might be able to help. :D

Back in the old days, there was a boardwalk that crossed the border of Ahern and Morris, and floating in the air on the Ahern side was an aerial telehub. When you entered SL you would appear on the aerial telehub platform, thus allowing one to walk off and make a nice graceful Splat! entrance.

The one in this package has that general appearance. I remember the old one as being larger, but I wouldn't trust my memory on much, especially not something like how big a virtual object from years ago was.

The aerial one in the package is certainly from the same mold, and it has an odd method of construction, being made in a rounded corner non-square rhombus shape, and having some oddly shaped pieces to make up the platform. I took pictures of the old one, with the edit highlight included, to use as a pattern to make one myself, but the construction was strange enough to be a bit challenging at the time, so I put it away and never got back to it.

And now I don't have to!
