Why im glad the forums are closing.

I lurk here quite a lot actually.

Ive noticed the following.

The majority of people on these forums appear to be:

Trolls
Drama Queens
Wannabe Nobel Prize Winners
Bible Bashers

Seriously, ive never EVER seen a more hostile forum in the history of several forums ive visited. I gaurentee the first replies here will be either of the 'If you dont like it, dont read' vareity or some sort of wise-crack semiabusive reply.

Too many people seem to think their opinions are the be all and end all, and refuse to accept other peoples voices. Too many people also attack people personally for no good reason other then it seems to be an enjoyable sport.

On 99% of the forums on the internet, the majority of you would be banned by now. Its quite pathetic really that people cant seem to have a sensible debate without it decending into a silly little flame war.

Flame me to hell if you want, unlike most people im not going to get riled up or bothered by what a bunch of keyboard warriors type in the boxes below. Most people can rise above such pettyness, please do the same.

I made an aeroplane out of bread once. It actually flew quite a distance before hitting the pavement and breaking into pieces.

I used white bread. It held up better. But there was once when I picked the pieces back up, it appeared to be brown. Maybe it wasn't bread?

On the east coast I used to get Nissen's (sp) Canadian Brown Bread. It was great to make a bologna and cheese sandwich with Kraft Miracle Whip and Jif Peanut Butter.

Jif used to be an oven cleaner over here.

You need to get out more. These forums are the worst you've seen? Where do you hang out, knitting forums? (and I've seen a home crafting forum that turned into a snakepit, myself).

These forums ain't bad, at all. Try some political forums if you want to see industrial strength flaming and trolling.

And if you don't like 'em, ignore 'em. Jesus, what is it with people wanting to control everyone else? Does the mere thought of these forums so upset you that they must not exist even if you don't participate?

Honestly, there are a few posters here, and on every forum, who like to cause trouble and derail threads. But LL doesn't bother to set the kind of rules and moderation that would keep that to a minimum, even though I know of much larger forums that do so mainly with volunteers.

If I was going to rant about something, I think I would have to start rallying for more food to be distributed in squirt form, like they do with Cheese Whiz.
