This is where all you chicken littles can post your apologies to Linden Lab tomorrow when all the wonkiness is done. However do not post an apology nor heap kudos on LL's collective heads until you have gathered up all of your little pieces of sky that fell at your feet. Once you pick them up (tomorrow) you will realize it was really not the sky but your need for a breath of fresh air. You can retrieve your piece of crow pie tomorrow and please stop to confuse it with pecan pie 'cuz that would just be cliche ya know ? Kudos to LL for a great upgrade from what I've seen in my 4 yes 4 separate logins. Discuss. I dont think your really sorry _____________________

I'll happily start when it gets back up, as mah granny used to say they can send a man to the moon, but they cant get an update not to kick us for several days..hmmmm
Hey on an off note, did any of you loose inventory you had set out just prior to the mad bomber on Sunday ?? If so is there anyway to get it back? Lost several items i had just purchased that i was decorating my club with that day...set em out and when arriving back in, all that id set out about a half hour before were gone, and alas not copy items..so not extra in inventory to pull back out.. If anyone lost any of my things i sell, if you'll IM me in game, ill be happy to replace |

All I can say is that normally there are some unfound bugs that require a quick fix. This time they pre-empted the bugs and deliberately borked half the content and 18 months of my work by killing O2O transfer..

When I take photographs, after the first two or three, they each take about five minutes to rez. I have some plants with rotating fronds, which I bought a couple of days ago from Fallingwater. They no longer work. I am getting weird graphics anomalies - see the photograph. The sticks of celery are one type of anomaly, together with the strange gaps in the water. There is some hope that this might be temporary, because similar anomalies on my other land have disappeared. Oh - no photograph I'm afraid, because it appears that 'Save Texture As' isn't working either. I have spent the morning changing the shiny textures on my gallery, and they still don't look as good as they did. Because of the O2O downgrade, AI lifeforms will no longer work off their owners' property. Apart from that, I agree with you, Lecktor. A great upgrade. *cough* _____________________

I agree the O2O 'fix' is a mistake.
I haven't seen anything else you mention. Possibly attributed to you being across the ocean ? I don't know. I give up and regret having made this thread. Ya'll have fun wallowing in your agony for hiccups of a major point release to a GAME. _____________________

Way ta go LL I did see your thread and the O2O transfer stuff looks like a very valid complaint to me, but unless I'm mistaken this "fix" is more tied to Sunday's self-replicating attack then the 1.7 update. And stems directly from LL trying to "idiot proof" the system by taking out functionality to try to hinder griefers. Punishing all of us because some w-hankers crashed the grid. Which I don't think is right, but that's a different thread entirely. So far the only "bug" I've seen or read about that 1.7 introduced is the rainbow-colored land thing, which I can live with. Taking longer to log in and reload everything, which was to be expected. Seeing more scripts which actually appears to be a bugfix and not a bug. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I probably AM wrong (Edit - Selador mentions some other stuff, I haven't experienced or heard of any of the other things he mentions)... But hell, I'd gladly deal with not being able to log into SL for a week and taking another week just to load and recache everything... Just to get ONE glimpse of that shiiiiiny, shiiiiny, shiiiiny NEW shiny... Oooo... Aaaaa... OOoo... SHIIINYYY. (Oh yah, and something about a HUD and being able to rotate attachments too.) BUT goddamn, behold the SHINNNYYYYY! How can you NOT like that new shiny? And - Eboni, um, ever go into a restraunt and insult the staff before you order? I don't, I don't want people spitting in my food. Seriously, SL isn't perfect but it's definitely the best playform of this kind that I've seen out there. And sure, I didn't WANT streaming video, I didn't want all the features they've added over time, but I don't think we should take their heads off or rally around with pitchforks any time soon... _____________________
