I think if you follow those instructions, you will get god mode. Just a guess though. I'd suggest bug reporting it.

I get that whenever I come to the mainland from Help Island, I assume it's automated.

From: Felix Uritsky I get that whenever I come to the mainland from Help Island, I assume it's automated. I don't get that when I leave Help Island. I would remember that. It was 436 lines of that. Plus I wasn't on the mainland, I was on Orientation Island right at the spawn point.

I had that sort of thing overwhelm my chat log in the first hour I was in Second Life. Not knowing quite what SL was all about at the time, I figured it must have been a Myst-like anagrammatic puzzle for progression toward the next part of the "game". So I did some cryptography and regression-analysis on the log. I'm still traumatized by what I found out. So much so that I only visit SL in the "off-hours", furtively, speaking to very few people, and with one finger always on the "quit" key. I'm afraid to log onto SL. And I'm afraid not to.

Contact a Linden. As far as I know, it's not possible for scripted items to put out that much text without IDing itself. Seems like a SL hicup.

Dear Suezanne, it appears you have omitted "get" as the 3rd word between "I don't" and "that" as "I don't get that when I leave Help Island" seems a lot more grammatically correct in this context. Also, I believe "Plus I wasn't on the mainland" should be followed up with a semi-colon and not a comma.

Heh, when I said 436 lines of that, that was 436 lines in SciTE-ez's non-word-wrapped display - each line takes up 4 lines displayed in the forums on my screen - so 1,744 forum lines worth of characters. Bigger than a Prokofy post, if such a thing is possible. The text appears to be one paragraph of instructions for each calling card and landmark in my inventory. Presumably something that new users are supposed to get, or were at one time supposed to get.

How do you get to Orientation Island? Is it for mentors and helpers?

Also, I believe "Plus I wasn't on the mainland" should be followed up with a semi-colon and not a comma. Thanks. I corrected the missing "get" and the semicolon. The whole sentence is pretty shaky, though. "I don't get that" might mean I didn't understand something. It would have been better to say "That never happens when I leave Help Island." It's probably not good form to start that sentence with "Plus", though; that's like starting a sentence with "and". However, this is not a term paper. Forum writing style needs to be good enough to accomplish the poster's purpose, to get their point across effectively, but there's no need to go overboard. Incidentally, one can use the forum private messages to offer spelling, grammar, and other such tangential comments to a poster without disturbing the flow of the thread. I do that at times when someone makes a good post that is impaired by having a spelling error or other such minor flaw. In the last sentence of the preceding paragraph, I used "that"; it is quite possible that "which" would be better. I have never been able to remember the rule that determines which to use. With a sufficient degree of pedanticness, and a self-referential outlook, and, I suppose, an excess of spare time, it becomes possible to create a lengthy tome which consists of nothing but comments on the style of the writing used in the lengthy tome itself. This, I'm afraid, appears to the direction in which this post is headed. I believe it is time to put a stop to this post's narcissistic self indulgence right this very instant.

Did you check to see if it automatically gave you their calling cards? Maybe they're working on a buddy system where you automatically get the calling cards of those who are on OI the same time you are. (Since it's supposed to be newborns over there)

From: Selador Cellardoor Also, 'plus' should actually be 'also'. Should those single quotes ("'" actually be double quotes ("'"" ?
