OK. I'll raze it. However, I'm done with the museum. You'll have to find someone else to do it.

What? :(

I liked it.
Especially after I walked around inside, (thanks for leaving the wall open).

Seems to me this should be approached like an artists or designers contract.
i.e- once veted and "hired," the designer should have the leeway (within general parameters) to complete their vision.

*Then* we can judge the hell of em. :)

I also think people are too quick to condemn here. I also found it startling, scary, imposing, etc. at first sight, but that is true of a lot of things. The "looming" effect at street level I now see as an interesting nod to medieval housing styles, and the startling contrast between it and the bavarian structures I now find pleasantly jarring.

my too late two cents...

I've seen it twice and I feel the same. Sorry, just being honest.

Thanks. I really tried to begin the project with the display space in mind. I wanted three separate yet connected spaces. I was very happy with the feel inside.

Yes. That would have been the better thing to do. ;)

Additionally, the government in this sim has a branch called the artisanal branch. As one of the principal members of the group, I technically have the authority to build regardless of the opinions of others. The only thing that could stop me is a modification of the covenant by the representative assembly or a majority vote by the members of the artisanal branch.

I am choosing not to exercise this right because it's not worth it to me. If I'm going to spend 40 hours on a structure I either want to be tossed aloft as a hero or paid a pretty sum. In this case it looks like neither, so I'll just quit while I'm ahead. :D

That is one of the fundamental goals of the city architecture, to create a dense build with a mixture of medieval Bavarian and modern. The jarring contrast is the entire point of the city's architecture. :)

Also, I think this is a good time for me to retire from all city work officially. I've put in hundreds of unpaid hours of work on the city and I'm just pooped. From now on, any modifications or builds must be done by paid contract.

I am still interested in maintaining and expanding the Tinies city, as I don't see that as city work. I would like to charge rent from individuals to pay for the land-use fee. We can talk about that in the Tinies thread though.

Sounds like it is time to make a major push to be profitable as a city. If this doesn't happen we can't afford to pay workers and the city will die a painful and outdated death.

Well maybe don't delete it if you haven't already, or save a copy.

Unless everyone else thinks it's so ugly as to be intolerable, we could perhaps all just live with it for a while and see. It could at least serve as a starting point for future discussions or builds.
