Hi, I am looking for building aids. I am a new builder, interested in designing houses in Second Life, I was wondering if there are any must haves, that could aid me. Such as building platforms, rez-faux boxes, house controler, prim docker...etc. Thanks so much : ) G

I would recommend - MystiTool (for sky platforms and a multitude of other useful functions) - Salt HUD (for megaprims) - A nice texture alignment grid ( ) - Builders Buddy (I don't use this as I've never packaged anything up to sell, but I hear it's useful... or you could go with Rez Faux) - Possibly a shape maker (like Shapegen, or something along those lines) - A texture organizer (I don't use one, but you might like it) - The built in grid controls (learn them... I was building for the first several months of my SL without it, and now that I use it I don't know how I got along without it)

I recommend learning how to build without any in-world scripted tools first.

Hear, hear. This is the most important tool for builders, and it is right there all ready to use for free. I took a class in using it over a year ago, and now use it every day. I hope someone is still teaching that class. Go to Search | Events | Education to look for it and other great building classes.

Lots of good Youube building tutorials. Start there, and like others have said learn the in-world tools before you start trying the add-ons...
