How do I delete unnecessary prims from a modifiable object? I've figured out how to select and move individual prims, but have not yet found any way of deleting them altogether. Any help would be appreciated because I've gone through all the controls and tried every key combo I could think of and nothing has worked yet.

Turn on 'select linked objects' in the edit menu, select the one you want gone (Or ones for multiple).
With ONLY those you want gone selected, hold ctrl and shift and press the L key to unlink the selected objects.
Now move the linked object, and delete those prims that remain behind, they are no longer part of the object.
