What on earth is "Copy Selection"?

I saw this JIRA marked as fixed in the latest Havok 4 Beta:

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1178

Talks about the "Copy Selection" feature being broken. However, I've never heard of such a feature, and after searching the edit pane, and all the top menus, I see no sign of it either. So what exactly is the "Copy Selection" feature they are talking about?

Too funny- I just wrote a post about how godlike Copy Selection was half an hour ago:

If you are totally anal and want a painless way to rez prims exactly next to each other, like floor tiles, you can't go wrong with this:

1. Place the first prim.
2. Right-click it and click Create.
3. Check the box for Copy Selection (and leave Center Copy checked).
4. Click the side of the original prim where you want the copy to rez. For example, if you want to rez a floor tile immediately to the left of your first tile, just left-click the left side.

A new copy of the original prim will appear right next to the original, with perfectly aligned coordinates.

Wow, Interesting. First time I've felt like a noob in a very long time! lol Yes, that quite useful, and I only wish I had known of it sooner! Thanks for the information. :)

It works with linked sets (with some restrictions) as well. It can be done with any kind of prim, but is most useful and predictable with boxes.

Another great trick for aligning stuff like that is to select your first prim in edit mode, hold your shift key down and drag on desired axis -- perfect alignment every time :)
