I've always used Rez Faux, you can move, rotate large unlinked builds. Plus you can put them into a container and rez them on demand or package for resale. There are also other products on the market. For something free, look at Builder's Buddy in the library.
Oooops I forgot no search : Rez Fauz: Eldora/152/159/106 _____________________

Yea, just edit the pretty yellow box with the funny looking wands sticking out of it. Up, down, rotate, left, right... anything that you would normally do. The worse that can happen is that lag makes one of your linked sets just a tiny bit out of kilter. The fix is simply moving that linked set into place.

You can get Builder's Budy for free from the SL Scripting Library forum. It's HERE.
I'm starting to use BB for my larger builds. It's pretty handy! _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

Another easy way to create a ONE Object file out of a complete Structure
12-06-2006 18:21
Hello !
Try this trick : - position your avatar in the center of the construction for wider range and use your CTRL mouse to move your view around during this process - edit one of the part of the structure ( start at the top, its easier ) - then hold shift key and left click (select) all the previously linked parts (modules) of the completed structure (keeping in mind that if you forget one, you ll have to redo all this work) - The last part you add, will be the center of the object rezzed - When all the parts are selected right click on one part and TAKE COPY of it - Here you go, you have the complete structure in your inventory as one object - You can also try to select all the parts by doing CTRL 3 then click and drag the selection box to cover all the parts. But sometimes it forgets some sections. Just experiment with this trick - The tricky part comes if you want to move or rotate it, you have to select all the parts the same way because there not linked as they are TOO FAR... - Always rez the new object from your inventory to verify if its all there ! If parts are missing, redoo the complete process again ! - Now, you only have to send me a copy, LoL Have fun ! Johnny Calayan, Homeless in Finance Island sandbox |

Thanks for the link to Builder's Buddy. Man, I wish I'd known about that before doing the expansion for my store.
