Torley Linden:

Private discussions – the forums are a public area for the Second Life community’s use. Individuals who have a dispute with each other have other channels of communication to discuss their differences or communicate – private messaging, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life. Also, threads that are addressed to a single individual or group are inappropriate on the forums, this includes slander or "naming names" in a posts title, starting polls about a particular resident or group, etc.

Also see Disclosure in the Community Standards.

Just a warning to all seekers of professional builders. Lucian Overlord charges L$ 200k for his attitude! The same thing can be done by others for much cheaper!

I apologize in advance for any bad language used in the post and If it is unappropiate for the forums. I feel that it is necessary to share my experience with this man. Good day to all and Happy Building!

Sounds to me like you made a couple of completely nonsensical statements (like SL doesn't have polygons, wow) and when the other person tried to educate you, you got pissed off, so you figured you'd try to smear him in public over it. All you actually accomplished though was to make yourself look pretty silly.

First, he's quite correct in all the facts he presented, and most of what you said was all kinds of wrong, but even if that weren't the case, you're certainly guilty of several major Community Standards violations here. Let's count them:

1. You cannot publish conversations without the express permission of all people involved.

2. You cannot negatively name names on the forums.

3. You cannot deliberately defame or similarly attack people on the forums or inworld.

This thread has been reported to the moderators for these violations. Good luck.

Oh, and for the record, every 3D object in SL (and in all computer applications including games, modeling programs, etc) is made of polygons. That includes prims, avatars, land, everything. It all polygons, all of it. To say that an object in a 3D simulation is not made of polygons would be like saying an object in the physical world was not made of atoms. Polygons are the fundamental basic building blocks of all 3D graphics.

Sorry Lindsey, Chosen is correct. You cannot name names in a thread nor can you publish chat logs without consent. This thread will be closed.
