I just bought a piece of land that completely in the water, I want a building underwater, how do I make it look less like there is water inside the building?

You cannot.

You can however put your home on stilts or just build it so it is on top of the water, but if you build underwater it will always have that dark look to it.

You can change YOUR client settings to reduce the water fog, but everyone else will still be effected. The new RC client default settings for underwater are not too bad, haven't used the official client in awhile but I remember it as being really dark.
You can turn off water all together for building purposes in the advance client menu - render water (uncheck it)

You would probably need to use full bright, and put up scenes in your windows to make it look less dark.

:( I was hoping I could add enough light to make it better.. I guess I could just go Mermaid and build a garden down there.

Unfortunately, there is no way to exclude water from a build that is below the Linden water plane for that sim. It sure would be nice if we could...

If you keep rooms small, and use fullbright walls, the effect isn't all that noticable. But "going mermaid" or building on stilts, or using the parcel to place a skybox way above it may be better options.

So your final Nimbus Score is 8.15, a quite remarkable achievement for a biped. Congratulations Crunch, you should be very proud. :-)

Hi:)

Having read the posts above nobody seems to have mentioned that you can turn off the water fog at will.

The command is CTRL ALT F6 (all typed together).

This is client side so each person has to do it and it resets when you log out but at least it allows you to build under water.
