1024x1024x512 I don't think anyone (if they made one) would be willing to distribute something this large. This is WAY over sim sized. _____________________

If used over an isolated private island sim, this would probably be OK. Never over a sim that has neighbors, though.
The only megaprims that might be that big would be the original ones by Gene Replacement. The later ones, including the ones I made, had a maximum dimension of 100 Meters. I got rid of any megaprims that I had which were in excess of 256 Meters in any dimension, so I can't confirm if that particular size exists. But I know the original Magaprims did include some that were about that size. You'll probably find that even a 512 x 512 x 512 cube would work, turned into a sphere, hollowed, and dimpled to 50%. Keep it as small as you can, since the texture smearing on something that huge will be horrific. Like, at best, an individual pixel in your texture would be a meter across, if you applied a 1024 x 1024 texture to a 1024 m x 1024 M flat prim face. _____________________

Is 1024x1024 the limit for textures? It is now (there was no server-side limit until just a month or so ago). For textures uploaded "temporary," there's still no size limit, however, newer viewers ignore textures with larger dimensions For testing purposes: 2048x2048: c3c733c9-d9af-5d96-80e0-ba376045d8db 4096x4096: 3549a4bc-2b2f-815c-3d27-c41d9685a4e9 _____________________

I found 1024x1024x1024 and it did the trick ... and of course, it would be used over an isolated private sim

You sure? I uploaded a 2048x512 in 2005, and when they reduced the limit to 1024x1024 that texture was reduced to 1024x256 on the server. And not very well, either. Could be, that's way before my time ![]() The ones I've uploaded are still untouched, but are apparently useless to viewers later than 1.22, it treats them as non-existent :/ _____________________
