Hi, all; I proudly announce the availability of JASS-2.0, a binary "one-in-all solution" containing blender-2.49b python-2.6.4 primstar-1.0.0 It is packed in an installer and all you need to get it up and running is: download, install, go. As always it is freely available from the machinimatrix blog at http://blog.machinimatrix.org/jass-2-0/Have fun, Gaia

Thanks Gaia for all your help I have 2 questions: If I allready have Python, Blender, PrimStar ans JASS installed, is it a good Idea, to de-install all? ...and: I've got all the script-stuff in my AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts - folder (Windows 7)... is that, where it belongs?

From: Larissa Kelberry Thanks Gaia for all your help If I allready have Python, Blender, PrimStar ans JASS installed, is it a good Idea, to de-install all? no! If you allready got all of this it makes no sense to you to install JASS-2. Because you will (currently) get no additional functionality at all. I'd even recommend to remove JASS-1 and keep with blender-2.49b, python-2.6.* and the primstar-1.0.0 scripts. Then you allready have all you need From: Larissa Kelberry I've got all the script-stuff in my AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts - folder (Windows 7)... is that, where it belongs? It sounds like it is the blender system scripts folder that you use. You can put your add on scripts (also primstar) into that folder if you like. But i recommend to use a user scripts directory instead. A description how to set it up is on our blog.

Sounds very handy!
Is there any chance of a similar installer being made to help Macintosh users?

From: Gaia Clary I am still waiting for the one who will donate me a MAC-Pro. Then instant Mac support from the machinimatrix is on your way No one from apple listening here by chance ? ... LoL... I wish I could help you there, Gaia, but I don't have the connections or a sufficently usable Mac lying around to help you with. Have a Mac myself, but I don't know how to make installers like that on Mac.

Please note that we have detected an error in the Jass-2-RC1 release, which broke our intention to deliver an one-in-all distribution. RC1 only works if python 2.6.4 is allready installed in your system because blender could not find the embedded tk-library (which is necessary for the Primstar-GUI )
But we have meanwhile released RC2 where this glitch has been fixed.
Please please please !!! tell us if you encounter any further technical problems with RC2! Our team is simply too small to deliver a rock solid installation without your feedback!
