does anyone know about linking prims - i have built a house and linked the prims however now when i touch the door to go inside it shows all the prims in yellow including the door? I wish to move this house once its finished and would prefer to move it all at one and not have to delink the door and then move it seperately. Since i am only touching the door to enter i would prefer if everything else didnt highlight at the same time...have i done something wrong?
please excuse me if this is a really baisc question i am very new at building!

Welcome to SL, Danni, and don't be afraid to ask questions.
The door linking problem is a common first one...search these forums, it has been answered hundreds of times.
good luck.

There are many dumb door scripts that can not work when their links changed, because theyre dumb. Find the few good door scripts, remove the crappy door scripts from their doors and replace them.
The door copying, rezzing, initializing and rotating procedure is still tricky. rezz a house with linked doors. door thinks its actual rotation is the frist state, usually closed. then rotate house and door, change linksets and copy doors for fun, and almost all doors will get confused by this, they can usually not know their rotation relative to the rotation of the house in any of their states and copy the state of their original door at any time.
This is why we just separate the doors from the rest, most times, its not worth the trouble.
