Moving my telehub?

Ok I have a new island (YEAH!) and want to move where people teleport onto the island since it is in a really inconvenient place. So.. exactly how do I do this ? I tried moving the wooden box that was supplied as a teleport marker and added a new spawn point using the "Manage telehub" portion of the hud.. but people keep appearing at the old spot. Are they special steps I have to follow ? I did the intuitive thing and that didn't work so I am going for the ask for instructions thing.

In "About Land" theres a "Set Landing Point" option (not sure which tab, Options maybe), have you tried changing that?

Estate Sims are diferent.

Check under world/Region/Estate/general/manage telehub, and make sure that it says "telehub connected to object telehub" and the spawn points are 0.0, 0.0, 0.0. I think that's all there is to it.

Actually, it seems weird that you got a wooden box, because thats what they gave people a while back. They have been giving out things that look like telehubs for a while now. Is the box called "telehub?"

I would IM Cyn Linden if you can't get it figured out. She is very helpful with estate issues.

You can link your telehub to any prim..

Just make a box, name it and keep edit on it..

then go to Estate tools, manage telehub..

and if nothing linked, then link to that selected item, and if no spawn point, the do that now too..

If you have linked then disconnect, and remove the spawn point before doing above and that will be your new telehub spot.

Thank you everyone for the information. I will try this later and hopefully it will work. Or if someone is in SL they can go to Widget Isles and see if they start on a beach on the West coast or up on a hill in the NW corner. Thanks!
