DNA strand

Hello, I just started second life and I was wondering if it was possible to make and object curve like a DNA strand. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

To answer your question ....... yes

As an example a Torus can be made into a spring using the revolutions control in the edit window, If you dont see the controls you need to click the MORE button in the edit window

ok thanks, but is there a way to seperate them more, its to close to it self.

Yes. Try experimenting with variations in the hole size and then stretching the spring along its Z-axis. You cannot make a very long coiled strand with a single prim, of course, and you can't make a double helix. You can always combine multiple strands, though, and then add the bridging amino acids as well. The whole job is going to be tedious but you will learn a lot.

Holy cow, it works. Thanks for everything. WOW! Learning just to make the double helix tought a LOT. It doesn't look perfect...and I have more to work on, still...thanks again.
