I built a boat and I want to put it in the water without water showing inside the hull. Can this be done and how?

If I'm reading you right, what you'd like to do is displace the water so that exists around the boat without actually interpenetrating with it. Unfortunately, that's not really possible. Sea level in SL is a constant height, and the water surface is always at that height. Once you dig down to it, there it is. It can't be displaced, bailed out, pumped away, levied, or anything else.

If you don't want to see the water inside the boat, all you can really do is build the boat in such away that the interior is always above sea level.

Use in fake water only, and a script that makes the water near the boat move to under it. It'll look dreadful too.
