What I've found in SL is that there are builders and scripters. However the best items in SL require both. What I am offering is a unity and collaboration among dozens of the BEST builders, and the BEST scripters.
I do have RL business owner experience, and will apply that here as well. If interested send your resume to me (notecard with your past experience, things you have made, things you can build/script. I also want demos of your work. Ie objects, photos, etc..) You can IM me here, or in SL. Please be prepared to demonstrate your ability to build and or script. I’m only accepting the best of the best. This includes a professional attitude.
I’ll also reward anyone who refers someone that does get hired by myself with a 50L reward. The candidate must say you referred them. I’ll also give another 100L reward for those who stay loyally employed for a term of at least 4 months and complete at least on project of at least a 500L value. Which ever comes first.

It's generally been my experience that the folks who flock to these sorts of guilds, sadly, aren't "the best". The best builders/scripters tend to stand out from the crowd already, thus not necessitating a guild, and hence they don't add themselves to the group.

I actually thought about this ahead of time, but there are quite a few not well known builders and scripter that are quite good at what they do, but they don't have the right tools brining them to the foreground; in to the mainstream. They don't have a name for themselves, and such a thing takes a long time to create. As such, a company branding if you will brings a sense of both unity and quality. Much like a feedback rating on ebay, it brings confidence when doing business, and it's this very reason that such a guild needs to be created. This is meant to take away risk when buying a product that doesn’t exist yet. To give the opportunity for those without a name to be trusted, and give them the opportunity they need to make a name for themselves. There are other numerous advantages as well. They bring competition, bring people together that alone may not have had the skills to pull such things off. To collaborate between people to create something that would be impossible for a single person to make, or lessen the time in which to create such a thing into a timeframe that is right for the customer. I could go on and on how this helps everyone as a whole with such things as economies of scale, but that is for another time. My point here is to bring people together, and there are countless things that haven’t been made because someone’s ability or desire to doesn’t exist. Example being one person may not to make a whole automobile, however, one may be able to make a wheel, another an engine, etc. That’s the kind of productivity and creativity I’m looking for. Working together and organizing people for efficiency, and greatness.

Your post should be in the classifieds threads, not the "Building Discussion" threads. I wouldn't say anything, but you posted an advertisement for your 'listing service' in the "Scripting Discussion" threads as well. However, since you posted in a discussion thread, I'll legitimize your post by discussing it.
As for your mission, SL is similar to RL in many ways, but it is as different in just as many ways. In the RL, people look through a phone book and choose the largest ad when they need service. In SL, word-of-mouth rules, along with the ability to click and see the creator of cool builds/scripts, and then to instantly contact the creator via IM.
The fact is, the 'best' builders and scripters have no need to advertise at all, they have no need for assistance in bringing projects to their table. If anything, they have too many people asking for their services. The reason you don't believe these people are in the 'mainstream' is because they work very hard to be invisible.
You'll find a great number of young (SL age) residents at your office door requesting help with finding work. However, I doubt you'll see any of the 'best'.
