not a proposal: boardgame land

I am not proposing this -- I have too much on my plate as it is, and absolutely could not commit to any other projects either financially or physically (although I could probably help brainstorm it unofficially).

This is just something I'd really love to see in world.

Boardgame land.

The center of the sim could be "zoned" for residential use.

Make it a huge monopoly board! Green houses on some squares, red hotels on the others. Let the tenants decorate the interior any way they wish, but keep the exteriors uniform. Could go with the actual monopoly streets, or you could use SL places. "Go to jail" could be renamed "Suspension" or somesuch.

Bonus points for scripting the games to be playable.

Other board games for the sim: some time back someone in some thread (if you really wanna know who, search it <G>;) suggested Chutes N Ladders -- this could make for a fun ride/attraction.

Clue -- again this would work for the center residential section. Make each room of the house (as seen on the board) a seperate build(ing).

Trivial Persuit -- could drop 7 stores on this board (in the circles) - or 6 stores (one in between each spoke).

Backgammon -- be some fun scripting there.

Could even have the Game of Life running around the sim.

For a large gathering place, the floor could be a humongous twister "board".

So there t'is. A few ideas for boardgame land. I'd really love to see this in world someday.

For the Clue one why not just make a house that 'is' the game. Script everything into it, people become the players and it becomes a kindof live action version of clue ;)

Figured I added to your awesome ideas #! :)
