I remember reading someone that torus was now an option to use for a sculpted prim base but I have yet to get them working. I manage to uv map a torus so that it basicly looks like a clyindrical uv map (according to what I read, Torus sculpty in SL is the same as a clyinder that has been attached together at the sides and ends).
Anyway all I can get from my sculpty image is a cylinder that sorta resembles the features of my torus.
I guess I could always try to keep manipulating a cylinder into a torus but am hoping there is another way. I need this for a large object that is shaped like a tire.

You have to set the sculpt type to torus with a script at the moment, sadly.

Great! so it is possible, I will have to dig in and read up on what set value function I will need to call to achieve this. Thanks!
