I’m trying to find out how to create a box that dispenses free objects – when clicked, it offers the option "Open." If "Open" is selected, a box opens with the object’s contents (free and fully modifiable objects), with the option to copy to inventory. This seems to be the basic design of most freebie boxes, but the ones I set up do not give other avatars access to the objects. I’ve been able to dispense the free objects using a “give inventory” script, but only one at a time. Creating a group is impractical under the circumstances (the objects have full permissions). Help!

So what have you already tried? That might help to get some responses to your question.
I'm not sure, but the freebie boxes I've created for some of my friends in-world were pretty "cut and dry":
rez a box add a texture (or not) right click on the box and use EDIT to go to the contents tab open personal inventory drag the full perm'd items onto the contents tab of the box
In my experience, if you put more than just a few items into a freebie box and then want to take a peek to how the box's inventory is looking, you literally have to wait 2 or 3 minutes for the box to propogate from your inventory...I imagine that could be longer depending on Sim lag and how large your inventory is...
but again, that's my experience...YRMV
