jagged lines along joins

I just recently built a new house, and just about along every join, I have those horrible jagged lines that usually mean it's not aligned correctly. taking this into account, I took the build apart, squared off all the positions and redid it using my calculator to get the seams perfect, even went the extra step of putting a transparent face on the hidden faces of the seam and aggravatingly enough, I am still getting them.

I've checked the math on the prim positions again and again, always with the same number, I even re sized a couple to 10 to get a nice even number to use, and still get them.

this is driving me crazy as I normally can get rid of the few I find, and usually it's my own stupid fault been out a fraction somewhere

please tell me this is SL been crazy and not me

Go into your graphics card settings, and assign SL a profile which includes anti-aliasing. If you have an nVidia card, you'll find the option in your nVidia Control Panel. If you have an ATI card, it will be in your Catalyst Control Center.

Without AA, those jags will always be there. The purpose of AA is to smooth them out.

Note: AA is slightly broken in the RC viewer. It works much better in the standard viewer. Hopefully they'll iron out the problems before the RC goes main.

Another suggestion is to make sure that the textures inside the seam are similar to whats on the outside.

thanks chosen, I tried that, even at 16x I was getting it. Didn't think it was, but it was worth a try. This is the only thing I've built that has these seams, other than when I've screwed up on the math or something slimier. am very close to cheating and sinking the prims into each other, and hoping like hell the flickering isn't noticeable.

that was the first thing I did coal, changed the entire prim to the same texture, all the walls are using the same wood texture on every face, thats why I started putting the alpha on them in the hopes that not HAVING anything there might solce it, but no hope ... chuckles softly

starting to think if I'm the only one experiencing this, is just my client and should stop worrying about it
