OMG I am overwhelmed. Is there a content creation thread for dummies around?
Help!
I have been building furniture etc and have gotten to the point where I have added my poses and sits to an already linked together piece of furniture. I have made sure that my poses etc are in place and made sure that they are non copy-non mod-trans (at least thats how it appears to me) and then I highlight them and the furniture and click link, name the item, put the for sale price etc. But am running into issues
While the object works the way I have set it up, it can be clicked bought for the price. when I click to sit on a pose I am moved to a different sit on the object then the one I selected--Where did I go wrong?
I have a copy of the same piece of furniture, with the sits/poses on it that I linked as I went. The sits do not work right. Where did I go wrong?
What is the correct way of linking these objects together with the poses and have them all work so that you sit on the one you pick.
Ok and more silly questions about easy stuff
Most of my furniture is NO MOD/NO COPY/TRANS or MOD/NO COPY/TRANS
I want to put the piece of furniture out (Display Copy) and have it so that a customer can come along and click and buy it. As I understand it I should place a copy of the item in the contents folder of the display copy. Do I only put one, and select under the price box for the customer to get the copy of the contents? Is this a problem if the item is NO COPY? I don't "get it"? Do I need more then one copy of the item? Help I really have no clue and can't find any general classes for setting perms/linking/and basic setting up content for selling.
And while I'm asking question I might as well throw in another one. As my objects are high prim, is there a commercial rez box out there that would let me rez a display copy in store (any ONE of my designs puts me over the prim count for what I can afford in retail space), as I understand it the object in the commercial rez box must be COPY, would people be able to come along and steal Full Perms poses off of them by going into the edit menu or clicking the menu wheel and cycling through to Take A Copy?
I'm having a bad SL day and totally clueless.
