I've seen a shape like |_____| (a half of a hollowed box, it looks like) but without the slanted ( \ / ) points on the ends. I've played around with things, but can't see how it's done. If anyone has any idea how to do this, I'd love it if you'd share your superior building know-how. Thanks :)

In the Object tab of the Edit window.

Where it says Path Cut Begin and End:

B : 0.129 And E : 0.622 . <--- That 0.622 will reset to show 0.620 once you have entered it. I dont have a clue why, SL building tools are a little odd at times.

Then just :

Hollow : 95

That should give you a shape i think you're wanting. :)

Im curious as to how to remove those "pointy" edges on all prims when cut. I have included an image with an example. Any ideas?

Actually, it should be .125 and .625 (and both won't reset).

Correct, for cubes it's 0.125 & 0.625 -OR- 0.375 & 0.875 to get a nice " [ " shape. For spheres it's your basic .50

I personally havent discoverd any method. I just move em one click over one another if they are phasing. Unless you can go beyond the 90,180, 270 and go to the next ten mark then stretch it?
Have to expreriment with it.
