Editing object inside of AV

Any way to edit an object inside of a AV body? I know about reattaching to another part, repositioning it and then reattaching it back but the frustrating part part is that I have to do it every time since the shape IS intentionally supposed to be inside my AV body.

I tried the debug menu option "Character" to turn off the characters body shape. I can see the shape then but still unable to click on it.

Any ideas?

Same problem

(turns on "me too" sign)

I have the same issue. I usually solve it it a few odd ways.

1. Detach the object, grow it large... reattach.. work on it.. shrink it.

2. Attach to a different point, move it.. move it BACK to the point in question with it hopefully out of the body.

But if anything I attach ends up INSIDE the av whether I want it there or not, it becomes impossible to reach.

Not sure if this will help your situation but there is a technique that can usually allow u to see (and select) an object inside your avatar. Focus your camera on an object or the ground at a point past your av. Then by moving the camera carefully you can get the camera viewpoint inside the av and you'll see the objects that are in there. The general idea is that you want the camera focus point to be centered on something other than the avatar you want to see inside of, then you should be able to manipulate the camera viewpoint so that it ends up inside the avatar.

Use the Debug menu
Under Renderers I believe, a choice Hide Selected - Now this will hide whatever you select, so you can select the object inside the object, once you select the surrounding object.
You can also shift-select with this on, so you can peel away layers of onion.
Hope this helps.

Attached objects can't move (or rotate?) themselves, but they can llSetScale.
So you could also have your attachment scale itself up on command, let you work on it, and then scale back down on command.
