Well, I'm starting to learn to built items, and there's one thing I just can't figure out. Is there a way I can choose which part of the object will attach, and is there a way I can choose how the object faces when my character holds it?

After you attach the object, you can edit it to move it into place where you want it. By default, it will attach with zero rotation and distance, relative to the attachment point of the particular body part. Usually, that's not where you want it, so just move it, and you're all set.

After that, if you take it off, make sure to use the Wear command to put it back on. If you use Attach again, it will zero out again, and you'll have to redo your positioning.

It helps, by the way, to use a posing stand when you're placing attachments. When you stand on it, it will lock you in a desired pose, cancelling all avatar movement.

Ok, but in the case of something like an earring, RIGHT and LEFT.
HOw do we attach objects to a specific body part?

Or say a nose ring?

It automatically attaches to the skull...

Instead of using "Wear", when you use the item for the first time, choose: "attach to" and pick the body part that'S most fitting.
