I want to create a wearable object (hat) with a rotating light on top of it, but alas, when I link the light and hat together, all of the prims rotate. I want just the light to rotate. Any way around this?

Thanks in advance.

Place your rotation script in the light prim instead of the parent prim.

Place your rotation script in the light prim instead of the parent prim.

As in, putting the link script in the light parts, then linking the other prims first, then your hat peice last. If you need help, IM me. :D

So if I were to make a propeller for a plane, where would I put the rotation script if I just wanted the hubs and blades to spin, but have it all linked to the plane?

Select the props and center hub first. Link those. Put rotation script in it.
Then select the props, THEN the rest of the engine or what not. Then link those. Remember, the LAST object you select before linking, is the parent prim. It's yellow colored in a linked set.

Uh, tried that...only the hub turns.
