Syncing Textures to audio. Possible?

Hello,

Is it possible to use audio to trigger the swapping of texture(s) on a prim? For example, at certain points on a soundtrack I'd like to swap the wallpaper in room from one theme to another.

Cheers,

Not directly, the region/sim/server doesn't "listen" or "hear" the audio and can be heard differently by each client as it downloads (in the case of script-ran audio). With streamed audio the region/sim/server is just passing on the stream url for the client to load, with streams you're more likely to have multiple users in-sync but again there isn't any way to synchronise the changing of textures automatically.

One way to cheat it, would be to swap the textures on specific delays, if it's a script playing the audio it could be x seconds after the clip is played. I cannot think of any way the script changing the texture could be synchronised with a stream unless you did it yourself (perhaps the stream loops the same tracks over and over so there will be a natural order and you could time the delays between changing textures).
