I'm making a sort of nun veil kinda thing that goes down to around the avatar's thighs. Problem is, just about every time I move, it clips through my back like so ... Anyone have any idea how to get it to behave itself short of turning off the flexibility (which would also cause problems every time I looked up)?

Ah, you're the one making the Bridget av, aren't you? I saw your post about it somewhere else.

My suggestion is to use multiple prims that are a cut and hollowed cylinder. It won't provide the perfect flatness that this current version does, but it will move more convincingly and won't cut into your avatar as badly.

You can get a free flexiprim cape at Yadni's junkyard, or maybe take a look at a flexiprim skirt you might have (if you don't have one, uh ... Giny Talamasca recently updated the Celebrity gown to flexi, and you can get just the flexi bits for 5l or something like that. Or just go with the cape). That'll give you a better understanding of how other designers build their flexible items - with lots of prims and in layers, so that it doesn't just fan out behind you unconvincingly.

Hmm, kay, I'll look into getting the stuff at Yadni's.
