Blender 2.492 - New Tutorials?

Hello

I've been tackling "Texturing sculpties with multiple images" from the Machinimatirx Tutorials which were created with Blender 2.47.

I’m trying to use Blender 2.492 with Python 2.6.2 & Primstar (recommended version as of today) and it looks as if things have changed a bit, for example when I get to “consolidate into one image” the option doesn’t seem to exist. Is it just me (and I haven’t installed everything as I should have) or have things really changed and I should wait until new tutoriasl are out? Are there any new tutorials out?

Many thanks!

Hi;

A new version of the tutorials is already planned using primstar and the newest blender-2.49
About your problem with "consolidate into one image" : I have just downloaded blender-2.49a (internally labelled as blender-2.492) for windows-xp and there i can find the "consolidate into one image" script in the UV-editor under

Image -> "Consolidate into one image".

Maybe it is a operating system problem ? Which OS are you using ?

cheers,
Gaia

Thanks Gaia!

I'm running XP as well so your post gave me a place to start. Seems I didn't do enough of a cleanup after I uninstalled my old version of Blender before putting on 2.49. After removing all the Blender folders that were left behind and reinstalling things now look as they should. :)

The current tutorials are excellent and I'm glad to hear that new tutorials are in the planning stage. It certainly is a big task keeping everything up to date and I really appreciate the effort.

Thanks again!
