Custom Hat Problem

I made a hat from scratch, but when I wear it on my head it goes on sideways. Is there any way to fix this with a script or something?

I would suggest that you just attach it to your skull, go into build mode, select the hat and then keep rotate, move, and scale it until it looks good. If you get into trouble with hair showing through the hat you may want to make some hair to go with the hat where you reduce the sizes of the parts that are supposed to be hidden under the hat.

Also, keeping copies of the original hat and hair around may just save your day later on.
