Building/Scripting a Rickshaw/Pedicab WIth Robot Driver: Possible? Improbable?

Someone I know is keen on having a pedicab/rickshaw built within SL -- I'm trying to think up ideas how it might be done, IF it can be done. What I'm talking about is something like this: http://www.manhattanrickshaw.com/insideimages/pedicab.jpg .

Would it be possible to have a "robot" driver programmed to take you around if you tell the driver directions?

Failing that, would it be possible to script simple animation of a robot driver pedaling a pedicab, while you point the direction, much as you do in a go-kart? (Or would that be too many prims?)

How difficult a proposition would this be? I am a designer, have some experience with scripting languages, but don't know LSL or how to build objects (yet).

Forgive my ignorance -- I'm a SL newbie. Just trying to get a sense of whether this is possible.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

yes they have already got balloons and other vehicles in SL that do "tours" you set the locations and the vehicle just goes the route there is probably something in the wiki or scripting archives I seem to remember making something crude just to learn how it works but never made an entire vehicle

just need to have the root prim go where you want it and the rest will follow :P
