Hi there...Ive been following tutorials from
http://amandalevitsky.googlepages.com/sculptedprims
and
http://www.bentha.net/sculpted2/Blender-to-sculpted.html
however I keep running into the same problem when it comes to the texture baking..and ive been having the problem for a while. The texture doesnt cover the whole UV map, and bunches up alot in the bottom of it, resulting in a shape that is far from what I need. Has a solution been found to this problem?

Ive noticed that if I use a premade sphere template for sculpties it seems to work, but I need to know what if anything I'm doing wrong here, so that I can put multiple shapes in my work. (And not lose what I have already!!) Please help if you know something!

That tutorial suggests to you that you need to select all your uv points and then, in the uv texture window, stretch it until it fits the rectangle there. Did you do that?

Yes, in the UV window press A twice (for select window) then S for size and stretch it. If you need to go only one direction press X or Y depending what direction you need to go, it will stretch in only that axis.

i resize it first to fit on the y axis before i do the final fit in the final step before hitting bake. Also I find if i drag it a bit i can get it to cover everything using the resize tool in the final step afterwards. I have had trouble getting it to go right to the margins so i put the margin setting to 2 and it works fine.

I think there is a bug in Blender that corrupts the UV map sometimes. I was getting this a lot when using multi res. Going to level 1 on multi res and object mode before baking seems to avoid the problem. I tend to keep UV window open now while editing so if I see the corruption happen I can hit undo and recover.
