Kurt Ludd You can't make linden water EDIT:: Yet. Lots of people want it since it looks so good..but you can't make linden water. If you see a pool or anything with linden water in it, its using terraforming to be able to see water, and is lined with prims (If its not ground under the water). You can terraform a small pond, lake, etc if your land can be terraformed far enough by just lowering the land, with land up high enough on the sides to surround it to make it a lake and such...

From: Kurt Ludd How do you get, make, or buy the prims for Pools that are "Linden Water" You can't do this at this time. At least not very well. There is prim water that comes close to the pre-windlight Linden Water, but won't look at all right under Windlight. However, I asked the Windlight team if, since Windlight makes Linden water look so radically different from the original Linden water or all the prim textures that have been devised for making lakes and streams at higher elevations, there would ever be a way to match the new water. They said they realize this is a problem, and they are working on making a prim texturing option that would allow prims to at least look the way Linden water does under Windlight. Not sure if you could swim in it the same way, but the swimming bit was already overcome with scripted prim water like the "Primswim" water by Siggy Romulus, and its associated "Swimmer" HUD and Animation overrider. So there is hope for this in the future.

Linden Water is at 0 feet. This is adjustable by sim owners to raise/lower it over the entire sim

Hmmm, I have found most mainland linden water to be at 20 meters above 0. Except for about 3 small seas down south that where raised to 80 meters in order for the subbies to have a place to play. You can find some wonderfully deep water there. The sim gods set their water wherever they want ..must be nice Have a nice holiday folks And thank you to the regular posters here.
