I have a proposal for the WW2o players.

I noticed first thing today that Jessie has been moved south of Clyde, and is completely public and damage-enabled. It looks like the Lindens have given you your own area to set up.

Now, the way things normally happen in Second Life, people will quickly buy up as much land as they can afford, build their own little house, terraform the land so it's warped (and sometimes garish and ugly), and make the whole place look... well, like much of the Second Life landscape.

I thought of a better idea.

I have a lot of money just lying around because of my weapon sales. I'd like to team up with the ww2o players, jointly buy up most (if not all) of Jessie, and turn the place into an island combat zone, where teams face off for control of the island!

I've been wanting a large-scale area in Second Life to just jump in and frag, particularly in teams. There's a chance now to build a full island specifically for it... without neighbors complaining about lag, because neighbors are on a different server!

What I'm proposing is that we team up, buy the island as an official group, and set it up specifically for combat. There'd be plenty of opportunity to build bunkers and housing around the middle of the island, so everyone gets homes of their own.

What do you guys think? If you like the idea, reply to this post!

Its too late now, all the land has been bought and we are in the process of making it look like a giant armybase (complete with AT and AA guns). We could use your help on making the AA guns though...

maybe you will, except, an irate populace is hard to controll. Just remember, when your tanks roll through our shells of towns, that we, our work, and our spirits are in everything...and they are watching...lol! Anyway (extends an olive branch) look forward to takin on some (not all 71, egad!) in some PVP action. I'd still like to set up the controll point game, but theres a way we can add "controll points" to the rest of SL. Maybe contests? Like poems, building, scripting? lol, at anyrate, try to think up fair flag points for games...maybe the lindens can extend damage area to uncrowded areas elsewhere, if just to localize combat to the flags...who knows. the base looks great btw!

We could just model in the radio tables, and then somehow set up that if you touch and hold the radio for sixty seconds, you capture the flag.

Fine if you dont want controll of the non damage land then ignore the "civilized" arts, lol. Just a way to make it a more global concept...
