Hello Residents:

I'm sorry for not responding earlier. I rushed out of town last weekend, but should have sent an email to all of you with an update. I am back today and promise to set things straight.

All the items submitted were great. The items I chose for this last week's promotions were (as you figured out):

Angel & Bat Wings - Logan Bauer
Cafe au Lait Cottage - Cocoanut Koala
Cobra G2 Powerboat - Solar Ixtab/Seawolf Marine
Medieval Wardrobe - Osprey Therian
BLOO Jetpak - Blue Linden & Alpha Zaius

As for the items that I DIDN'T use, there were a few different reasons. For example, some people offered really cool furniture, but compared with a house, I had to go for the house. I felt that was a better starting point for a new Premium, who didn't yet have a house to decorate. Also, there were some really awesome scripted items, but I kept crashing sims when I used them, so I want to run the scripts by another non-Marketing Linden to investigate before using them. I hope to use most of your items in upcoming promotions. I will email each person who submitted by the end of this week to give you feedback on your submissions.

Thank you so much for your hard work, originality, and dedication to Second Life. Your submissions greatly improved the experience of this past week's Second Life Premiums Upgrades. Everyone loved their gifts!

Linden Lab is working on a promotion for new Premium Residents, and we are looking for a few awesome inventory items to give away, especially ones that will add to the Premium experience. If your inventory item is selected, you will receive L$3000 and your company title will be featured in the name of the item. Ex: ACME Logo Tee.

We are looking for a variety of cool items, normally valued from L$500 - L$1000, to give to a variety of Residents. Feel free to make wildcard entries, but here are the main categories we're looking for:

*Homeowner starter kits
Ex) Starter cottage to fit on 512 m2 of land

*Personal vehicles
Ex) A set of Wings
Ex) Car
Ex) Spaceship
Note: We're good with jetpacks right now.

*Gesture/poses/laughter package
Note: please submit as a package, not as individual items.

*Second Life Pets

*"Trunks" (inventory folders) of clothes in a certain style.

In order to particpate, please offer the inventory items to me, Lauren Linden, so that I can determine if the item fits our needs. If we decide to use it, we will contact you and pay you for your work. Please, no patent/trademark infringements! Include the brief name of the items (including company title), the estimated value in SL, and any instructions required for the item.

Deadline for submissions: Monday 10/10/05 at 5 pm PST

Is there a deadline? I have a house that is more geared to 1024m2. But I could whip up a smaller version for 512m2.

Hmm. Seeing that I had a mysterious ammt of money show up as a "Land Use" payment, and then today I look at the SL homepage and see an AV advertising the premium account, I _think_ that means they accepted my wings. I'm guessing if you've been paid, that means they've used your content...

Looks like there were 5 items accepted, based on the premium sign-up page:

Choose Premium Upgrade Bonus Item

Angel & Bat Wings
Cafe au Lait Cottage
Cobra G2 Powerboat

I would imagine these were the items selected.
