I was editing a freinds house and inadvertantly put a larger than normal Z axis on it - I can't find it or grab it - She tells me the prims are still allocated to the land but can't list them under the Objects Tab.

I'm knee deep in latrine waste here people - how can I resue her be-loved garden - if I can't your likely to see the first state execution on SL - and this lady knows how to build the gallos!!!

Fly up. :)

No, really. If it's above normal avatar flight height you'll need some flight assist (plane/helicopter/UFO or flight attachment) but you'll eventually find it. Can't be higher thatn 760 meters!

If you need a free flight assist, contact me. I've got one that's not X-Flight, is mine and therefore legal for me to pass to you. :)

The other option if you don't want to pilot a vehicle or wear a flight attachment is simply to sit on something, and then edit its height while you're sitting on it. Here's what I'd suggest:
  1. If you know roughly the X and Y locations of the lost object, just not the Z, then rez a cube on the ground at the X,Y coordinates.

  2. Sit on it the cube.

  3. Right click on the cube, and select "Edit" from the pie menu.

  4. On the editor, Take a look at the Z location. Add 100 to it.

  5. You should now be sitting 100M up in the air. Take a look around, 360 degrees left, right, up, and down. If you see the lost object, great; just grab it, and set its Z location back to normal. If you don't see it, move up another 100M and look around again. Keep repeating the process until you find it.

Note that the highest you can go using this method is 768M. That's perfectly okay though because the lost object was misplaced using the same method, so it can't be higher than 768 either. 768 is the normal (unscripted) maximum height for all objects.

You should be able to find the object within a minute or so this way. Jillian's suggestion is also good, as flight attachments are very useful, but if you don't have one, this is something anyone can do at any time.

That's odd....it should show up in the objects tab under "about land"

Nonetheless...go buy a cheap pair of wings and fly up to find it. :-)
