two options 1: use two prims, one hollow, one to cap an end 2:use a sculpty rare alternative, use a pathcut cylinder/sphere (only works well for certain shapes) _____________________

You can also make a 1-prim cylindrical cup shape with a tube prim.
Hollow 95% (or as desired) Hole Size Y 0.50 profile cut begin 0.125, end 0.500 Y rotation 270 degrees It will have an open top with a squared-off rim, and a closed bottom disc that has a small conical dimple on the inside. _____________________

Hollow a cube and taper it 1 and 1
or hollow a sphere and dimple one end You never asked for a particular shape. _____________________
