Hey I'm a complete newb when it comes to Shrinking stuff like gloves. bracelets, etc.
But I recently got a set of items that were Unisex (basically a spiked glove set) and i knew they would look huge on my SL character. and i was right. But i was wondering if theres a tutorial or an explanation to Shrink items down to where it actually fits onto my little characters skinny arms lol.

heres a picture of what im talkin about (thanks to Spider productions for the items. they really are neat ^^)

and again sry for a repost. I couldnt find anything. maybe im blind o.o

The biggest concerns: First, it has to be a modifyable item, of course. Second, be wary of parts that are already at or close to the minimum possible thickness (0.010, in normal building practices).

Looking at the things you want to shrink, the bands around the arm are, most likely, already at minimum thickness, and won't allow the thing to shrink further.

Let's say some parts are already 0.010 thick. Do an 'edit linked parts' and edit those individual pieces to be a bit thicker. Say, 0.015, which would allow you to reduce the assembly by 1/3 in size.

Once you have no parts that are "bottoming out" like that, you should be able to reduce it in size.

I ran into this a while back with the waist sash (Obi) for a kimono. One part of the knot on the back was 0.010 thick. I had to increase its thickness before I could shrink the part to fit my waist.

ahhh... I went through the options and I see whatcha mean.

I tried a few things (remembering the numbers incase i mess up) and do see a way to resize them.

Also im trying to find someone that knows exactly what to do so i could pay them to do this for me. its no-copy so if i screw up then its done-for.

anyone reading this thread and knows what to do. ill pay to have it done. just because im a scardy cat and dont wanna mess up lol

Have you tried IM'ing the creator? Frequently they are more than happy to assist and would probably be the best to do it.

If it is a no-copy item, definitely contact the original creator and have them modify it for you. They may be willing to do it for free, but will probably be more receptive if you offer them a little extra L$ for their efforts.

I've had some content creators who even came up with new custom animations to suit my avatar. One of my alts is a fairly small ferret, and a 'scrubbing the floor' prop and animation that I had purchased sunk her into the floor. The maker made a special animation for me, just to fit her size.
