Someone told me that SL will be expanding the limits on linking. I built a boat longer than the 30 meter limit. Does anyone know if I can, or will be able to, link the boat into one object so I can sail it?

Yes, it is already expanded to as much as 54m but it works differently. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linkability_Rules
