Get objects below ground?

I made a stupid mistake, and now I have two boxes below ground level. How can I get a hold on them to bring them back up?

Oh, ground is already at it's lowest level....

Go into edit. (Right Click)
Point to the ground where the boxes are.
Press and hold your left mouse traveling over your boxes until they highlight.
Make sure it is just the boxes that are highlighted. If there are others objects that are highlighted press and hold shift - then left click the item you don't want highlighted.
Let go of shift.
The 2 boxes highlited should have the arrow to raise them above ground.
