Safe altitiude for skyboxes?

Just wondering, is there a maximum altitude for skyboxes? I know about the 4096m limit and the prim/camera jitter bug at high altitudes, I was just wondering if there's any other restrictions for "permanent" structures on one's own land.

Personally, I have never had any problems with the currently functional clients at any altitudes below 4096 Meters.

My highest current skybox I have at 3000 Meters, and I have a side room there where I fine-tune avatar attachments, hair, and other detailed Building tweaks. Never have a problem.

You can't go lower than zero Meters. And in most sims, anything between zero and 20 Meters is under water.

I have a Ranch with dance hall and barrel race at 3000 and 2 sky boxes at 3500 and 3700 with out any issues

I like skyboxes to be above 1000m to keep them well out of sight from the ground otherwise they can look messy if you are touring the mainland in an aircraft.

There used to be a limit of 768m on some scripts. They wouldn't work, or would work inconsistently above that elevation. Unscripted objects worked fine though. I'm not sure if it is still a limit.

The only scripted things I have ever seen that had problems above 768 Meters and below 4096 Meters, after the build height was increased to 4096 Meters have been some Teleport scripts that relied on methods that had a range limit in them. One TP system that I really liked was unable to set up a pad above 768 Meters. But since then new versions of similar products have come out that eliminate that limit.

Normal things like doors, beds, scripts for avatar attachments, vehicle scripts and the like all work just fine to at least 4096 Meters.

I bought an inexpensive prefab building recently that used an old rezzer. I tried rezzing it a couple of times on a platform and was baffled why it never showed up. After a few attempts I got a 'parcel full' message... yup, it rezzed and plummeted to 768m each time where I found a nice collection of house parts :)

To be fair, the 'read me' did point out that it should be rezzed below 768 m. My bad.

Here are some useful URLs to the limits in SL:

https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Limits

The Wiki mentions 768m but it isn't confirmed there. :(

Unfortulately, a number of LSL functions have built-in limits that assumed the old build height limit of 768 Meters. Likewise, a number of scripts written prior to the increase in the building height limit don't take into account the possibility of building or rezzing thinga at altitudes above 768 Meters.

I know all the rezzers I use have updated their scripts to allow for the new build height limits. Even the free ones.
