The foundation of my house swears its pieces are too far apart to link, so can't lock my house down to it -- which is a pain, cause I've managed to delete the house about 4 times so far...
Also: the house itself is a Damani prefab, and I discovered that locking the house itself means the doors don't open at all. Do I have to take the doors off before I lock the house down (when I get around to redoing the foundation -- pieces made, just not placed), then replacing the doors, or will the doors not work at all if the rest of the house is locked?

Unlink the doors from the house and then lock the rest. Should work fine. Just make sure that if the doors are more than one prim, that you get them all and create a linkset with the proper root prim for them. Most doors are just one or two prims, so that shouldn't be hard.
