Anyone know what determines which way an avatar will face when they sit on an object?

yeah.. the edge of the object that's closest to the av is the one the av's legs will go over

(took me forever to figure that one out)

ok, but what if it's just a cube? would it be the top/side transition closest to the avatar, or would it be governed by the local axis of the object? and if it's not governed by the local axis,, can we script an onject to force the avatar to sit in a specified oreintation?

Oh, Thx BTW

A plain ole cube still has edges, and one of them is going to be closest to you.

Top face, 4 side faces (edges, in the case of a real chair), bottom face. Av's butt goes on the top face, and the legs hang over the side face / edge that was closest to the av when "sit on" was selected.

The rest of what you said.. I have no idea =)
