Has anyone experimented with this?

Is it possible to change the way LL trees are rendered using this?

Obviously, this is a client-side effect, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to change the way trees are rendered. Snapshot the new trees, create textures from this in PS, and then create new 3-prim versions of them.

I've done this with some of the default trees and the results are not bad.

But I'm wondering if it might be possible to create totally new trees this way by altering the rendering options of trees in the debug menu.
