I'm at the point of investing in a good jewelry linking program. I've used the free version of Linkrez (Looprez) but from reading the information on Linkrez it sounds like it has a lot more features.

I just looked it up on XStreet and happened to see a similar product called Beadrez. Has anyone used this and are there any pros or cons to one over the other?

I have been learning Beadrez now for several weeks and I have used Looprez but find Beadrez easier to use and learn and the features and instructions that come along with are very well done so my thumbs up for Beadrez

If it is of any use Czari, i have the Linkrez- I would be happy to demonstrate what little I know of how to use it. There is a good demo available at their store.

Thanks, Amar :) I've used the free version of Linkrez (called Looprez) once or twice and thought that was awesome...but the features on Linkrez and Beadrez look awesome.

Would love to see it "in operation." Besides, we need an excuse to get together. ;)

I have both and use both for different things. However, I find Link Rez more difficult to start up than Beadrez. Also, bead rez comes with a teach pad that assists you in creating your own beads and using them. I must admit, it has been quite some time since I last used link rez but it's still a good product none the less. I primarily use bead rez to create jewelry.

Wow- delayed answer almost to the end of life of our forums :( holerr in world - wd love to have u come over and watch it work - the instructions are a little complex, but i am one of those folks that hate reading istructions- so...if i got decent results with limited application - it has to be fairly easy.

LinkRez and BeadRez

The price of LinkRez (and the LoopRez products) has been halved, to make them more competitive

One difference between LinkRez and BeadRez: LinkRez has a "note card program" feature that generates necklace chains composed with an unlimited number of DIFFERENT link types. This is described in the last lesson of the tutorial, including some pictures.

But here's an example of what I mean. Notice that the front of the necklace is made up of one large central multi-prim item, with a couple of alternating links, and then a bunch of alternating diamind / sapphire small links. Then, the back is made up of tube links. All this was made in one shot with a notecard program

Which to get? Because I'm no longer active in-game, and unavailable to teach people how to use the products, I've posted detailed tutorials on how to use LinkRez on-line. As before, *** I recommend that NOBODY buy LinkRez unless they've read the entire tutorial, and understand it. *** It's a nifty tool, but if the tutorial sounds like gibberish to you, I'd rather you not waste your money.

==========

Incidentally, LinkRez is NOT at all related to LoopRez, other than that I wrote them both
- LinkRez rezzes single OR multi prim links in a modifiable NECKLACE shape
- LoopRez rezzes single prims in a FLAT ELLIPSE shape, more suitable to skirts

Hope your Second Lives are good. Perhaps someday I'll return.
