Path Cut Begin and End

I'm looking for confirmation that my trial and error experience with Path Cut Begin and End and Hollow on cubes is correct. It appears that you can only get 90 degree (square) ends using Path Cut with the settings .125, .375, .625, and .875, depending on the rotation of the cube. Is this correct?

Yes, since those correspond to 45°, 135°, 225° and 315°, with 0°/360° being the diagonal line between the center and +X/+Y corner of the box.
