Title above my couch

For some weird reason I have the title of my couch in green above top of my couch..although this was the title previously..I have since changed it. I took it into my inventory to see if it would go away....but the minute I brought it back out..the green tag was above the couch...I cannot figure out where this is coming from...if I move the couch left or right the title moves right along with it I was finished with this project until this happened O.o

Thanks again!

Sounds like you have a hovertext script in one of the prims. You will need to put a stop hovertext or scrubber script in to get rid of it.

How do I get that and where do I get a stop hovercraft script?
I did find something..and deleted it..but only managed to mess up my animations in my couch and had to start all over.

Thanks...

Just go into Edit, open the Contents tab of the object, and click New Script. When the script window opens, replace what's there with this

CODE

default
{
state_entry()
{
llSetText ("",< 1,1,1>,1.0);
llRemoveInventory(llGetScriptName());
}
}

Hovertext becomes part of the prim's attributes, so deleting the hovertext script does nothing. If you get this again find the script in Contents - open it up, and you'll see a line that has the text - say it says "MY COUCH" - just take out the letters leaving just the "" - and the hovertext will display nothing.

ok I deleted it before I read this.so I have nothing to take out...

also that script I am getting a syntax error Rolig.

How do I post a script...to show what I deleted already..whenever I try to post it, I get an error. Sorry I am so new..with very little knowledge..this is a crash course.

Thank you so much Rolig...there was a space between the Set Text, I took it out and voila the green hovering text is gone! Thanks a zillion times over!

sometimes the offending attribute is in a child prim....in which case you can use

warning it deletes all scripts anywhere in the object so if you want to preserve them take them out or copy them (this is done because it's often one of the scripts setting these hidden properties)
