Lindens, you have a great system of building its nice and easy to learn but i have a differant 3D building application that i am more familliar with and more comfortable using. The builder that i use has two differant types, one uses MDL files but its alot differant from prims, it uses triangular "faces" connected by vertexes. The other uses MED files and uses objects like prims, i think that it is possible to covert these MED files onto the grid but i have no clue how it would work. I have many cool things that ive made in MED and many more to come, i would like them all to be in SL also, so if you or anyone else knows about this same program or a way to convert them into SL... please reply

If MED uses the same prim types and deformations as SL then you can write a converter script, pop the output into a device for rezzing/shaping prims, and recreate your work in SL (sans textures, which would need to be added on). Lindens Labs won't do this for you, but if you can convince people it would allow easy offline building maybe yoiu can get a scripter type person interested.
