low-lag sandbox?

I haven't been on in ages, so my LMs are somewhat outdated, and since the Places search is down...
Can anyone point me to a good low-lag public sandbox? I'm not running anything scripted or mature. I just want to build small-scale houses. Thanks!

The lowest lag that I found in Sandboxes was in Obscure Sandbox but there is no much room for building big houses. The famous public sandboxes (Sandbox Island & Ext, Goguen, Cordova, etc) are cool for working between 3 and maybe 5 AM/PM, just after the clean up. Later than that, becose of the hundreds of scripted objects (lots of them designed to be annoying), the scripting task becomes laggy and sometimes there are lots of particle effects and objects all around.
But, if you only need to build, you can create a floating platform at about 400 - 500 meters in the sky and go there to work. Becose of the distance to the floor, the client-sided lag is reduced if your sight is about 300 meters or less becose the objects in the ground and the avatars are not rendered. I generally do that and I have good performance event in the rush hours of the Sandboxes. (again, it does not work for scripting, only building).

I quit going to Explorers as soon as Orlie gave up control. It used to be the best sandbox in the game, now it's just the same as any other. Just before I left I noticed all the really good builders that used to hang out there took off as well. I hang out in my group's island sandbox all day now and don't regret the change one bit.

Of course any island sanbox is going to be leaps and bounds better than an mainland one.

Calgary usually has a lot of room. Dress warm there is snow.

Newcomb and Wanderton are no script linden sandboxes. It almost never crashes there unlike almost every scripted public sandbox I've used. Build above 300ft unless you want newbies causing trouble or just constantly bothering you.
